Dr. Dhanya M. B. is an Indian labour economist and Fellow at the V. V. Giri National Labour Institute under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India. With over two decades of experience in labour market research, policy analysis, teaching and training, she has contributed extensively to national and international policy dialogues on employment and labour issues. Dr. Dhanya has held several high-level research and policy roles with the Government of India and has actively contributed to major international platforms, including G20 Employment Working Group, BRICS Network of Labour Research Institutes, International Labour Organisation, and various South Asia and Pacific think-tank forums.

She has authored numerous research papers, policy reports, and academic publications, making significant contributions to labour policy debates and scholarly discourse in India and internationally. Her areas of expertise include labour economics, future of work, impact of artificial intelligence on labour markets, gig and platform work, gender and employment, migration, informal economy studies, and public policy.
